Join us for VoG's inaugural AGM.

The Agenda for this AGM will be as follows:

1. Confirm Minutes of previous Special General Meetings in September and November of 2021;

2. Receive & consider Activity Report for period 1st February 2021 to 30th June 2022;

3. Receive & consider Financial Statements from 1st February 2021 to 30th June 2022;

4. Vote upon the following Special Resolution:

WHEREAS:

  1. Voices of Goldstein (VoG) was established to provide a voice for the voters of Goldstein to express their concerns about the issues of our time with their parliamentary representatives and to have them acted upon, and
  2. VoG then resolved to seek out and support the election of a community- backed independent who would listen to and respond to those concerns, and
  3. We have now succeeded in getting our community-backed Independent elected as the Member for Goldstein, and
  4. Our duly elected representative has opted to retain her campaign structure as the vehicle through which she communicates with and receives feedback from the community of Goldstein

WE THEREFORE RESOLVE

  1. To suspend all VoG public activity for the remainder of 2022 as a minimum, including its social media presence, in deference to Zoe’s team establishing itself as the vehicle of communication between the voters of Goldstein and their parliamentary representative, and
  2. To extend the term of the outgoing Governance Committee to the next AGM, and
  3. To direct the Governance Committee to convene either an SGM early in 2023 at an appropriate opportunity, or an AGM in June 2023 to consider the future of VoG at that time.

Non-members are welcome to attend the AGM. However, if you wish to vote at the AGM, you must be a paid member of VoG and have applied for membership up to ten business days prior to the AGM - as required by the Model Rules of Association determined by Consumer Affairs Victoria.

If you are not sure whether you are a member, or if you have any other questions/concerns to raise, then please email [email protected].

If you are a member and are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to nominate a proxy on your behalf, please email [email protected]
